What a Day

Well I pretty much spent today dedicated to watching the Michael Jackson memorial, which I got up early for. After all the crying I did I knocked out till around 7pm. Not really eventful. Anyway I really thought that the memorial for Jackson was very touching, the crowds were exceptionally quite, somber and respectful. The performances were amazing (except Mariah Carey, then again maybe I didn’t like it cuz I don’t like her), the speeches were touching. Everything about it was just amazing. It was the first memorial service I ever seen on such a huge star and I felt that despite all of Jackson’s faults he was remembered for all the goods he did in life and for the world. It was truly touching especially when his daughter concluded the memorial with her heartbreaking
“I just wanted to say, ever since I was born, daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine! I just wanted to say I love him so much”

Ahh Shut up!

Take a look at the video below, Here congressman Peter King is ranting on and on how we need to ‘glorify’ the men and women who sacrifice their lives to save us, also how we are putting Jackson non-stop on the news and the whole ‘how does that make our nation look’ that we are more interested in Jackson’s Death than the war in Iraq and everything else that’s going on now. Whatever. Think about it, no matter how much you rant, complain, and yell, nothing will stop this nation from being more interested in celebrity drama before anything else. Hearing non-stop stories on murders, the war, the senate acting like a bunch of babies, and stupid debates that pretty much get no where is all 2nd to celebrity drama and the news that surrounds them. I personally don’t think that Jackson is a pervert, never did. He was found “Not Guilty” on all counts and that’s all that matters to me and his fans. We are getting what we want to see on the news, and that’s the Jackson story. If that wasn’t the case then places like TMZ, CNN, NBC, ABC will not be showing these stories. Like it or not, it won’t die down till after the memorial, and after his will has been followed through.

If your living under a rock

Then in all seriousness you really need to get out more, and get your hands on some newspapers, watch tv, or get a friend. Still fresh in our minds and a shock to all his fans around the world, the death of Michael Jackson has pretty much hit us all in the gut. This may be old news, but I really wasn’t feeling like blogging when all these celebrities were just leaving us. The death of Farrah Fawcett, Billy Mays, Fred Travalena, and Michael Jackson plagues us all.
But what I really wanted to blog about was for the new Michael Jackson website. Changed now for fans to share their memories and heart felt condolences of Mr. Jackson. For those who care; your welcome to join in. I did.

What I grew up listing to mainly consisted of Spanish Salsa music out at the time, Madonna and Michael Jackson. His music was not only always fun to listen to, but as I grew older I never grew tired of listening to the same hits, along with his new ones at the time.He was timeless to me, one man whose music stood the test of time, and touch the hearts of all of his fans. His death was a shock to us all, He was someone you wanted to live forever. Through all of his hardships I never once changed of opinion of him. He was and always will be Michael Jackson the King of Pop. I along with my family wish his family and most of all his kids the best. May his music live forever.

Clueless about future…

I find it to be pretty cool that i have somewhat of a broad look on what I like to have a career doing. While in Herkimer County Community College for Business Administration, To be honest I’m not learning much on business as I would like. In fact the more general classes like human resource management, English, and some electives actually stuck with me. Anyway I’m two classes from graduating, and trade school is something I’m looking into. After looking at the subjects covered, the following caught my eye

    1. Cosmetology & Hairstyling

    2. Funeral Director Training

    3. Culinary

    4. Web Design and Graphic Design

    5. Bartending

    6. Photography

I actually don’t mind trying these out. I have a interest in make-up mainly eyeshadow but the interest is there. I also wouldn’t mind working at a funeral home, although the training for this seems a little intense, its training for several fields. I can’t cook but learning how in culinary seems like a fun idea, bartending is the same way. Its already obvious that web design and graphic design is something I would have no problem getting into seeing how I already create my own website layouts for all my sites. Learning more is always great. Photography I had a brief fling with, but stopped due to the feeling is most of my shots coming out pretty noobish. I wouldn’t mind taking classes to improve.
Bartending and culinary sounds like a great mix, and if I want to have a career in food this would be a great choice. The same with taking Web Design & Graphic Design and Cosmetology & Hairstyling together. No idea what I want to do. so many choices.

In other news that reunion I mentioned in my other post, turns out its gonna be next year. Talk about WTF. Now the idea of it seems pretty lame.
