Getting better.

From the last post, all is getting better. My grandmother and mom and have been helping me pay off the tuition and I’m ready to get a job pretty soon. A little nervous since it would be the first time I’m working a real job. I’ve volunteered… but that’s totally different. Also that lack of confidence I mentioned last post went away pretty fast the last two days of my bartending class. Sounds weird but true. I’m ready to kick some ass and prove I can make these drinks, although some studying is needed just to refresh my memory. I’m lacking in some pretty popular drinks normally made around where I live. Mainly because the course covered different types of drinks for different types of establishments (lounges, bars, clubs, frat bars, etc), to help us find several types of jobs. Anyway I want to work in the Bronx, Manhattan isn’t my thing, found like two places I wouldn’t mind working at…. I guess I’ll find out when go for a interview.

Oh yeah, I’m finally going to get around to fixing up and updating Planeteater as a whole. Will be needing a new layout, new content, a sidebar on the side, and perhaps some new plug-ins and widgets. I sort of updated my ‘Me’ page, removed the pictures plugin and added a Robo.to widget. A new layout is in order first, and I need to finally get my self back into making Myspace layouts. I can’t believe how long I’ve been on hiatus with the main site. Sad.

    You haven’t updated your main site in sooo long! I was beginning to think you were dead. You’ve had like a huge drop in visitors too. :(

    But obviously you’ve been busy, that’s definitely reasonable. Glad that you’ve got your loving grandma and mom to help you with tuition. It’s probably the hugest problem with students, to have to worry about paying for college. :( There’d be a lot more people with degrees in America if college wasn’t so damn expensive!

    It’s great that you’re a helping hand with your own tuition! I tried that and taking on an on campus. The job was great, it was office work which I enjoyed. But then it interfered with my studies and my parents made me quit. :) But good luck and take care! <3
